PARKING A MUST FOR IMPORTANT HOSPITAL STAFF

More than 12 months ago, I went to the Welsh Assembly Offices in Cardiff.  My mission was to stop the proposed outrageous car park charges at the rural hospital of Glan Clwyd.
I hand delivered a letter to Dr Gibbons, Am and Minister of Health. He informed me that it was not his problem .....
yet his boss Rhodri Morgan spends £236,000.00 on a golf jolly while our Trust is underfunderd and still has to impose car park charges to raise its own funding!!

I recently met up with some staff from Gland Clwyd. I was handed the curent travel plan issued by the trust which has been circulated to the staff.  I welcome the approval of an additional 127 car parking spaces.

It is quite clear from the content of the Travel Plan, that the Trust will be charging the dedicated staff to park, however how nice that  even though the staff will be charged the Trust are offering some amazinge advantages!!  And value for money!

    Easy parking!
    Secure Parking!
No more parking on muddy grassed verges!!

I don't know about you but tthis  is not an advantage or value for money!  This is basic requirement for any employer to offer their important, valued staff!  I would think it even more important in a hospital environment when staff could be needed for a life threatening situations!

    Lords,Ladies and Gentlemen.

Times have been busy so apologies for lack of blogging. Hope you have not missed me too much!
We have plenty to update you on and I will try to do some regular blogs in the next few days to bring you up to date .
I had an excellent evening on Friday attending the North Wales Liberal Democrats Dinner where the Guest
Speaker was the Rt Hon Jim Wallace QC MSP.  What a speaker!  Most interesting.  He is the former Scottish First Minister - be great if Mike German could recipricate !
The food was excellent but I could not have too much to drink as I was giving the Vote of Thanks and a short speech.
It was well received, I think!!
After the dinner we retired to the hotel bar and had a  nightcap and put the world to rights!
All in all a most enjoyable evening - thanks to all of those who organised it.
